Driving and your own negative thoughts

Fear of driving is often complicated by individuals' own thoughts  These thoughts can be risky, such as the thought that they will go to the next traffic or drive from a bridge, or they can focus on a person's physical feelings, such as rapid heartbeat, such as driving a car.  They can be intimidating attacks. Controlling these thoughts is important for success in overcoming a driving phobia.
 Don't worry?
 

 Sometimes it is recommended that people who are afraid to drive try to stop their negative thoughts, although the good intentions are definitely to reduce the amount of these distressing thoughts, which is technically flawed.  What should children not think about in order to remember?  It is the same with telling them not to worry about rotten fruit, they will first think of a rotten fruit because the task of remembering not to worry is meant to avoid that thought.  The method of visualizing a thought on a mental level, or slapping yourself with a rubber band to train the mind to stop thinking, is unfortunately not a recommended technique.

 The right time to think
 

 The time of worry separates the time of day, usually morning and evening, to dedicate this thought to their walk, for example, a common concern associated with the fear of driving is to fall and fall and lose control.  Forced to think twice a day for a set period of time, the purpose is twofold  First, the anxiety becomes less intense as the person expresses annoyance after playing the scene on a mental level, educating the individual to be able to postpone their anxiety for a certain period of time, which may eventually allow them to be indefinitely suspended.
 
 We have seen moderate success with this approach for overly distracted thoughts or specific driving fears.  For example, if there is something specific that is painful, for the overall fear of driving, there is a very frightening thought to use this technique for a long time.  It is also very important for acceptable thinking and sensitivity
